1.Pengertian Recount Text

Recount text adalah salah satu dari jenis teks bahasa Inggris yang menceritakan kembali kejadian-kejadian atau pengalaman-pengalaman di masa lampau.

Tujuan dari Recount Text adalah untuk memberikan informasi atau untuk menghibur pembaca

2.Generic structure Teks Recount

1.Orientation atau pengenalan yaitu memberikan informasi tentang siapa, di mana, dan kapan peristiwa atau kegiatan itu terjadi di masa lampau.

2.Events, merupakan rekaman peristiwa yang terjadi, yang biasanya disampaikan dalam urutan kronologis, peristiwa apa yang mereka alami dan pengalaman apa yang di dapat

3.Reorientation, terdapat pengulangan pengenalan yang ada di Orientation, pengulangan yang merangkum rentetan peristiwa, kejadian atau kegiatan yang diceritakan.

3.Ciri kebahasan Recount text

a.Menggunakan Past Tense. Misalkan we went  to zoo, I was happy, etc.

b.Menggunakan Conjunction dan Time Connectives untuk mengurutkan peristiwa atau kejadian. Misalnya and, but, the, aftar that, etc.

c.Menggunakan Adverbs dan Adverbial Phrase untuk mengungkapkan tempat, waktu dan cara. Misalkan yesterday, at my house, slowly, etc

Tips:

masih inget formula past tense kan ! 

Simple past tense : S+ V2/ ed   ( V2 buat irregular dan ed buat regular)

i.e:

I went to zoo yesterday

I played football yesterday

Istanbul Grand Bazaar

On Wednesday, Budi and his family arrived in Istanbul Turkey. They had 3 days there. Then they stayed at Turkey Hotel; it was famous hotel in there.

On Thursday, they went around in Turkey and interested to visit a small town that covered largest market in the world, called “Istanbul Grand Bazaar”. It is located inside the walled city of Istanbul. There were more than 4000 shops on sixty-five streets. The shops sold almost anything that you want or need such as Turkish carpets, jewelry, clothes, food and spices. The important thing when you want it, you must bargain with seller. After that, Budi bought a Turkey carpet for gift, On Friday they went home to Indonesia.

Summary, “Istanbul Grand Bazaar” is interesting place in Turkey.
